Join us for an exclusive roundtable where top Chief Community Officers reveal the challenges, successes, and insights from their work.

Through the month of May, Clocktower Advisors published five interviews conducted by Todd Nilson and Jae Washington to explore the role of the CCO. Those experts have been invited back to participate on an interactive panel to discuss updates, thoughts on the series, and answer any questions you may have.

George Siosi Samuels

George Siosi Samuels is a Fractional Chief Community Officer (fCCO), 3x founder, and Managing Director of Faiā, a community growth partner for emerging tech companies. George goes by the nickname "Digital Wayfinder" due to his Polynesian ancestry and career history in tech. He introduced blockchain to the nation of Tuvalu, got involved in Bitcoin in 2013, and is an advocate for micropreneurs building micro-empires.

Katie Bapple

Katie most recently served as Chief Community Officer at Building Brave. With 15 years of community-building experience, she has supported over 45 organizations ranging from Fortune 100s to associations and B2B SaaS to educational institutes in creating exceptional digital customer experiences.

Hugo Paquin

Hugo is a community builder and partnerships manager based in Hamburg, Germany. He is currently head of partnerships at VOYAGERS, a global community for impact-driven founders and investors. Operating on a freelance basis, he also assists various climate-focused organisations in designing better systems and community-led strategies to fuel their growth.

Brian Kling

With over 20 years experience in Community, Support, and Digital Transformation, Brian guides and mentors teams to provide superior customer experiences with successful, measurable business outcomes. As an ICF-certified coach, he builds safe spaces for teams to perform at their best.

Raccine Malcolm

Raccine (pronounced ray-seen, like a ray of sunshine!) is a Caribbean native passionate about fostering inclusive communities, driving transformational + impactful change, and committed to diversity, equity, & inclusion through a global lense. They've worked with companies to nurture inclusive community spaces that people will love through empathy-driven, relationship-focused growth. Today, they're the CEO at Everyspace, an all-in-one employee engagement platform that focuses on fostering authentic community & connection internally.

Show Notes

Introduction and Updates (0:00): Todd Nilson introduces his cohost, Jae Washington, and the CCO panel. Each guest shares their updates since the interviews, filmed earlier in the year.

Planting Seeds for Unsure Harvest (14:32): Jae asks the panel for times where they implemented ideas even though they were unsure of the outcome. How were they motivated to continue and did they receive the fruits of their efforts? Todd builds on their answers, asking for encounters of short-term, high sales focus and mismatched values and focus.

Community Culture (30:10): The panel explores the importance of values and culture within community. Building relationships require conversations and clarity. Different cultures have the potential to clash when misunderstandings occur. Todd also asks the panel for important skills needed when growing into the CCO role.

The Frontier of Change (45:07): Todd closes the panel by asking about the current state of community and thoughts on the future evolution. Technology, nurturing human relationships, and budgeting are all factors listed to consider within the community role.
